Magoo is a Progressive Bluegrass quartet from Denver, Colorado. Known for their dynamic live performances, the band delivers intricate arrangements, three-part harmonies, and extended improvisations.
Their debut album, What a Life, arrives in February 2026, and features a guest appearance from Bluegrass artist Sam Bush on fiddle and harmony vocals, and mastering by two-time Grammy Award-winner David Glasser at Airshow Mastering. The song “Angel of Telluride” is out now.
Each member of Magoo brings distinction to the project, including dobroist Dylan Flynn, winner of the 2024 RockyGrass Dobro Competition, guitarist Erik Hill, runner-up in the RockyGrass Flatpicking Contest, mandolinist Courtlyn Bills, and bassist Denton Turner.
Magoo’s recent achievements include first place at UllrGrass Band Competition and Clash of the Strings, second at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, and a sold-out headlining show at Globe Hall in Denver. They have also made festival appearances at Winter WonderGrass, Grand Lake Folk Festival, RapidGrass, and Huck Finn Jubilee. They are going into 2026 with plenty more shows coming up.
