Lafayette, Louisiana band Cashier have joined the roster of Julia’s War Recordings and have announced their debut EP, The Weight, available March 13, 2026. The singleLike I Do is out now, with a video, which was filmed throughout previous tours around the country.

Bandleader Kylie Gaspard says of the song:

This one is more of a piece of generic rock. We kind of wanted to make our own version of that sound. The lyrics are very simple, just about two people figuring each other out, what feels right when you’re unsure of a scenario, and navigating another person’s energy.

The Weight marks Cashier’s first full-length project as a band, following their debut singles in 2023 and 2024.

After touring around the U.S. over the past couple of years, Cashier has supported bands like Dinosaur Jr., Whirr, Nothing, Narrow Head, and more. In March, they’ll hit the road to play shows at SXSW in Austin, TX.
