Greg Freeman has released a new music video forGulch,” one of the tracks from his album Burnover, which released via Transgressive Records/Canvasback Music in August of this year. He’s also announced a January/February 2026 headlining tour, which includes shows at Chicago’s Schubas Tavern (1/17), NYC’s Bowery Ballroom (1/29), and more.

Freeman explains about the new video:

Most of the footage for the video comes from the annual Cerrillos Burro race in New Mexico. As you can see they are not very good at running in a straight line.

2025 has been a big year for Freeman. He just wrapped up a tour supporting Grandaddy for the 25th anniversary of The Sophtware Slump, recently completed an EU headlining tour, and went out on a support tour with Hamilton Leithauser (The Walkmen) earlier this year. He’s also went on a headlining West Coast tour this December.

On his sophomore LP, Burnover, the Maryland-born, Burlington, Vermont-based artist uses the backdrop of the Northeast to “sing of grief, alienation, and the clarity that comes from opening up yourself to love.”
