Portland-based six piece band Abronia have revealed new single “Weapons Against Progress,” the latest preview of their upcoming LP, Shapes Unravel, out February 20th, 2026, via Cardinal Fuzz & Feeding Tube Records. The track is accompanied by an eerie music video directed by Rick Pedrosa.

Vocalist/sax player Keelin Mayer explains of the track: 

Riding into a landscape that has been burned by years of plastic, pollution, war and greed. You’re trying to grow up and become an adult in this bleak landscape watching billionaires jetting off into space leaving your generation to clean up their mess.

Shapes Unravel is Abronia’s most “compositionally daring” record so far which brings in “grief, haunted memory, and flashes of transcendence” and combines moments of weight and stillness.
