Alt-Folk band The Lowest Pair has released new single “Tiny Rebellions,” from their forthcoming album, Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be. The album was produced by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, My Morning Jacket, Neko Case) and is set for release on January 23rd, 2026.
“Tiny Rebellions” is bit of a stylistic departure for Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee (aka The Lowest Pair), who have become known for their Roots-based sound. The song features heavy percussion and vocal harmonies as well as a soundscape approach.
Lyrically, “Tiny Rebellions” turns on “the intense moment when love rushes back into a person’s life with the hope of possible reckoning and renewal.” It searches for “optimism that can be buried in the darkest of places.”
Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be is The Lowest Pair’s first studio album in six years and finds the duo expanding their sonic palette. The album reminds us that “love, grief, joy, disappointment, failure and renewal are all part of the same beautiful cycle, one that affects but also interconnects us all.”

The Lowest Pair will embark on a European Tour in January and February 2026. The band has just announced some Northwestern US dates, with more to come soon.
