JUNO Award-winning singer/songwriter Dominique Fils-Aimé has announced her new album, My World Is The Sun, to be released February 20, 2026 via Ensoul Records. On this project, she “focuses on the very essence of the creative process.” It also “reflects her commitment to freedom, to the sonic, creative, and spiritual dimensions.”

To accompany the announcement, Fils-Aimé has shared the single + visualizer, “Going Home.”Stripped down to a single guitar, Fils-Aimé “ruminates on the inclinations that move us, whether that be ambition or boredom.”

She says about the single:

Home can be a state of mind, home can be a loved one’s arms, home can be a cup of tea. You are cordially invited to disconnect from the external madness. Leave outside to sync within, welcome the internal chatter. Because the quest for inner peace starts at Home.

Dominique Fils-Aimé operates at the crossroads of Jazz, Soul, and Blues, and explores the emotional palette of African-American music alongside introspective and contemporary forms. She “crafts her work in cycles, with each trilogy telling a unique chapter in her quest for sonic, creative, and spiritual freedom.”

In 2023, Fils-Aimé launched her second trilogy that began with Our Roots Run Deep (2023). It focuses on the theme of growth where “nature plays a central role, serving as a metaphor to express the unique yet deeply connected journey of each human being.” Live at the Montreal International Jazz Festival (2025), her first live album, was recorded on the festival’s main stage in 2024.

In 2026, Fils-Aimé will present her new album on stage during a world tour that will take her to Europe including concerts at La Maroquinerie (Paris) and Le Botanique (Brussels) as well as a premiere at  the Montreal International Jazz Festival and another tour in the United States.
