Parkwalker Captures The Quiet Poetry Of Urban Calm With ‘The Extra Mile’

Parkwalker are returning with their sophomore album, The Extra Mile, out on January 30, 2026 via This Charming Records. Known for their blend of Emo-Pop and Slowcore, the band once again “captures the quiet poetry of urban calm – the soundtrack to a slow walk through the fragile idyll of a city park.”

The new album encompasses “the faint hum of city life dissolving into the rustle of leaves” as one moves through a green oasis of a city park.

Formed in 2018, Parkwalker consists of Hannes and Nicola (guitars), Arnaud (bass), and Armin (drums). Following their debut Distant Phenomena (2021), the band
took their time — going the extra mile — to refine their sound.” The new album was recorded at RAMA Studios and produced and mastered by Christian Bethge (Messer).

Parkwalker members have long histories with various projects, including Tidal Sleep, performing across Germany and beyond. Parallel to the full-band work, ParkWalker Picknick Club offers an “intimate acoustic take”, a project born during the pandemic where Nicola performs solo or with guest musicians.
