Singer/songwriter Grace Inspace has released her new single, “Unrivaled” via TODO Records. It follows previous single “Meteor” (feat. Luna Li) and her 2023 EP Sunshine Kid. The new single handles a very complex situation, being caught between the desire to stay in a relationship and the desire to leave it.

She explains about the track:

‘Unrivaled’ is about the torment of loving someone you know is wrong for you — you try to pull away and yet they pace in every corner of your mind. It’s an internal war, where the part of you that aches to stay collides with the part that knows if you don’t leave, you’ll lose yourself entirely. This song is about fighting your way out of the deep end, finding the courage to walk away, and piecing yourself back together. Written on an acoustic guitar and my vocal loop pedal, before bringing it to Josh Mehling and Mulherin for production. It marries a dark and pulsing bass line with intimate vocals and a crescendoing guitar part, it’s haunting but hopeful.

Grace Inspace Garner has always lived a nomadic life, born in LA and partly London-raised, she grew up bouncing between places with her itinerant, artist parents. Much of her writing happens in an Airstream by the riverbanks of the Jedediah Smith Redwoods in Northern California. The title track of Grace’s last EP, Sunshine Kid, was featured in a global Celine campaign.
