Dark Dream Pop duo Magic Wands will release new album Cascades on October 24, 2025 via Metropolis Records. The album is “shaped by the spirit of centuries-old poetry, gothic romance, and myth” and combines Post-Punk and Dream-Pop sounds. The single “Time To Dream” is out now.
The duo says about the album:
Cascades was born from a fascination with how the past lingers inside us and explores transformation and the spaces where timelines blur into one.
The album release will be celebrated with an appearance at The Substance Festival in Los Angeles on November 7th, 2025, with further shows to be arranged.
Formed in 2008 in Nashville by vocalists/guitarists Dexy and Chris Valentine, but now based in Los Angeles, Magic Wands meld elements of Shoegaze, Dream Pop, Post-Punk, and Goth.
The duo has released five studio albums to date, the most recent of which was Switch (2023). Songs from it were subsequently remixed by guest artists and released as Switched later that same year.
