The Ting Tings, consisting of Jules De Martino & Katie White, have returned with their album Home, their first long-player in six years, featuring the singles “Good People Do Bad Things”, “Dreaming”, and “Winning.”
Home was recorded in a wooden decked analogue studio and is “an easy, breezy yacht rock album” committed to traditional songwriting inspired by favourites like Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits, The Eagles, The Carpenters, Cosby Stills & Nash, and more.
A Gibson guitar luthier hand-carved the wooden template used for the album sleeve in Nashville after the band met the CEO of Gibson Guitars, who loved the band’s new sound, which you can learn more about by watching “Ting Tings Reveal Wooden Album Sleeve“.

Of the feature track, “Winning” Katie White comments:
What are you really winning when you’re winning? And more to the point, what do you lose when you win? Because you generally lose something or trample on someone or you get trampled on. I guess it speaks to this emerging culture of toxic productivity, where you really feel like you’ve got to be on it the whole time. When actually, it’s good to sometimes ask, “Actually, what am I competing with? Who am I competing with?” We were guilty of that, too.
The band will be performing a fully live session at the legendary BBC Maida Vale Studios on June 11th for Jo Whiley’s Radio 2 show, which will feature a very special cover version.
