Choosing the moniker Big Love Car Wash in 2022, the multi-genre band hit the road to hone their Bluegrass-steeped Americana sound, then went to Austin’s Arlyn Studios to record. The result is Daydream, their 16-track debut album, arriving June 6, 2025.
They’re celebrating with an album release show Wednesday, June 4, at the 04 Center at 2701 S. Lamar Blvd. in Austin, with the Georgia Parker Trio opening. A June tour with stops in New Mexico, Colorado, Tennessee and Missouri will follow.

Daydream captures the band’s Bluegrass essence while reflecting their love of Folk, Jazz, Celtic and Rock idioms. The band members fondly refer to themselves as “found family.”
Bassist Turner says:
We’re a bunch of friends and brothers all making music together. It feels like four people all taking turns leading the same band, which is really nice.
The band’s name came from late Yonder Mountain String Band frontman and jamgrass artist Jeff Austin, one of Chase’s big influences. During one performance, Austin proclaimed that the audience vibe enveloping him felt like moving through “a big love car wash.”
