Suede & ‘Lene’s “A Message From Jane” Is The Centerpiece Of Their Debut Album ‘Hymns For Lost Things’

Suede & ‘Lene, the Nashville-based band led by Grammy Award-winning songwriter/producer Angelo Petraglia (Kings of Leon, Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris, Taylor Swift) and frontwoman Eulene Sherman, have shared new single, A Message From Jane,” along with an official music video.

“A Message From Jane” marks the opening track of Suede & ‘Lene’s debut album, Hymns For Lost Things, which arrives on Friday, June 20, 2025.

Suede & ‘Lene came about somewhat spontaneously, and didn’t immediately become a band. Angelo Petraglia and Eulene Sherman found themselves unexpectedly collaborating in a way that immediately led to song creation. A handpicked group of players were enlisted, like 3x Grammy Award winning mandolinist Sam Bush (New Grass Revival, Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris) and pedal steel master Dan Dugmore (Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor).

“A Message From Jane” forms the LPs “artistic centerpiece,” introducing a fictional protagonist, “Jane,” who struggles with her life as a musical artist throughout the album.

Petraglia says:

She’s trying to get that recognition, but not really feeling it all the time, sometimes being used and experiencing the disappointment that comes with it. Hopefully, Jane’s still around.
