Texas-based Alternative Metal band Taken By Tides has released their new single, “Ghost Vibrations” along with a music video. “Ghost Vibrations” explores “the lull and frustration” that lead singer Omar Martinez experienced over the last few years as he “waited for calls and messages that could open new doors.”
The term “ghost vibration” refers to the sensation of thinking your phone vibrates, only to realize it hasn’t. It’s a “metaphor for that feeling of anticipation mixed with disappointment.”
Omar Martinez says:
This new song takes the desperation I’ve been feeling and transforms it into something greater, tapping into what it felt like growing up. It’s about gaining back the naivety, fearlessness, and blind confidence that I once had as a teenager.
This track was Produced in-studio by the band (Omar Martinez, Guillermo Rodriguez, Jack Strunk, Jayden Castillon) and co-written with Zachary Williamson of Picturesque. “Ghost Vibrations”arrives just after the band released 4-song EP It Ends With You in 2024.
