The innocence mission has released their first album in four years, Midwinter Swimmers, a new adventure for the Pennsylvania band of high school friends Karen Peris, Don Peris, and Mike Bitts. They have also released a video for the track “Your Saturday Picture”.

The songs on the album reveal an “attentiveness to small detail” that’s typical of the band who tend to “look closely at everyday moments as miraculous worlds of their own.” Karen Peris gives a poetic “sense of place and color, of the visual, that communicate universal experiences of change and loss, and of love, hope, and gratitude.”
