Austin-based Jan-influenced Rock band Nether Hour have announced their upcoming eight-track album Moonshine, arriving on Friday, March 14, 2025, via Nether Family Records. They have released the single “Long As I Ain’t Alone”, out now.

This forthcoming project is a follow-up to their last adventure, Sunshine, and captures the energy of their live shows.

Talking about the lead single Bercy explains:

‘Long As I Ain’t Alone’ is a song about those nights when you don’t want to fall asleep alone, so you make sure someone is lying next to you, regardless of who that is.

Bishop continues:

Me and Bobby super intentionally wrap the guitars in and out of each other by putting accents in opposing places to give it a push/pull effect. Tonally, I wanted to give warmth and comforting feelings throughout the song.

Bobby concludes:

‘Long As I Ain’t Alone’ came about when we were sitting down writing one day, and ‘simple, but effective’ became our focus.

Before they evolved into the three-person band Nether Hour, Bercy and Bishop were in a band called Swamp Brew, while Bobby had his own band. With a “cosmic twist of fate” involving JaRon Marshall of the Black Pumas and 2018’s SXSW, Bobby, Bishop and Bercy, have have been making music together, including a stint as the Kill Tony after-party band for over a year.
