Roots Rock project Jamie McLean Band have released their newest LP, One Step Forward, via Harmonized Records.
Jamie McLean introduces the album:
One Step Forward is a tightly interwoven collection of songs about my journey forward to find true love, true happiness, cherished childhood memories and much needed healing through some difficult times but mostly triumphant and joyous times. I hope you’ll find some of your own and enjoy this joyful ride with me.
Their extensive North American tour continues through 2024 and dates are being added for 2025.
Ahead of the album’s release, the video for McLean’s single, “Summer of Who Knows When,” arrived. Another early track, “Don’t Leave Us Now,” was written in response to losing a close friend to suicide. The songwriter highlights how important it is for men to reach out to one another in times of despair.
He says:
Suicide is an epidemic, especially for men, and I want to people to know there’s no shame in struggling, seeking help, and doing all we can to prevent these tragedies.

The Jamie McLean Band includes performances from drummer and vocalist Brian Griffin, bassist and vocalist Chris Anderson, and the return of keyboardist Jon Solo.
