Walt Hamburger Expands Into A Full-Band Sound

Walt Hamburger, who recently signed to Thousand Islands Records, has announced that he will be releasing his third LP later this year, which will be his first with a full-band setup. The latest single from the album, “6-3”, is out now. It was recorded with Asher Simon of Joey Cape’s Bad Loud and Neil Hennessy of The Lawrence Arms.

Walt Hamburger is known for his acoustic records on Joey Cape’s One Week Records but is transitioning into a full-band project. Exploring themes of “new love and longing,” the album moves from a stripped-down style to Punk Rock energy.

Walt Hamburger was once a member of Punk Rock trio The Hamburgers on My Brother Stole My Records, in 2014-2015. Now known for his solo work and performances with Walt Hamburger & The Young Guns, Hamburger has also been part of numerous bands including Honor Amongst Thieves and Obvious Man Hands.
