Australian guitarist and Producer Hamish Anderson released his last album, Out of My Head, five years ago. He supported the sophomore release touring in his native Australia and Europe with Gary Clark Jr. throughout 2019. Before the start of his U.S. tour leg in May 2020, the global pandemic ended his run and he was stranded for three years in Australia.

Last year (2023), Hamish was able to return to the U.S. and resume touring, supporting Gary Clark Jr. and George Thorogood & The Destroyers as well as reunite with his L.A.-based band to record his new album Electric. The album is a Rock “love letter to the electric guitar.”

Throughout the album he plays homage to guitar greats of the past, such as T-Rex’s Marc Bolan, Jimi Hendrix, and Jimmy Page, as well as current inspirations like Artic Monkeys. The album will be released October 11, 2024 through MGM distribution.

Electric was cut mostly live as a trio with his touring band (bassist Lauren Stockner and drummer Pete Marin) with appearances by Jessy Green on strings (Foo Fighters) and Jerry Borge on keys (Jonathan Wilson, Ziggy Marley). Anderson shares Production duties with David Davis (The War On Drugs, Lauren Ruth Ward, Miguel).
