Kyle McKearney’s “Alberta, Save My Soul” Raises Funds For Alberta Wildfire Relief

To provide support and raise awareness for communities devastated by the recent Alberta, Canada wildfires, Alt-Country artist Kyle McKearney has launched new single, Alberta, Save My Soul.” Working in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross 2024 Alberta Wildfires Appeal, McKearney is spearheading a fundraising initiative that will run from August 26 through September 1, culminating on Alberta Day.

With fellow artists across Alberta rallying together to drive donations, this campaign will see donations matched dollar-for-dollar during this period.

McKearney shares:

I was heartbroken to hear about the fires in Jasper and wanted to help in some way. Music has always been a place of comfort for me and I hope ‘Alberta, Save my Soul’ does just that for anyone feeling the weight of this tragedy. We’ve decided to team up with the Canadian Red Cross to fundraise for the Alberta Wildfires Appeal. I’m grateful to be joined by many artists and people willing to lend their voices for the cause. It’s heartwarming to see what we can accomplish together.

Donations to the Canadian Red Cross will be used for “assisting those impacted in Jasper and other affected areas in Alberta with immediate and ongoing relief including financial assistance, support to evacuees and the communities hosting them, recovery and resilience efforts in response to the wildfires, as well as supporting community preparedness and risk reduction for future all-hazard disaster events within Alberta.”
