Serj Tankian is a singer, poet, songwriter, visual artist, film producer, activist and author, as well as being lead singer and lyricist for the Grammy Award-winning Rock band System Of A Down . He has recently released his new single, “Justice Will Shine On” via Gibson Records.

The new song follows the release of the recent single “A.F. Day.” Like with that track, Tankian composed “Justice Will Shine On” in the early days of System Of A Down. It’s accompanied by a video.

The new single and its forthcoming EP, Foundations, due in September, follow Tankian’s release of his memoir, Down With The System. The book is “an immigrant’s tale, an activist’s awakening, and a spiritual journey from darkness toward light,” and became a New York Times bestseller.

On August 17, 2024, Tankian will perform with System Of A Down for a headlining, sold-out show at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA.

Tankian also recently celebrated the opening of his Kavat Café / Eye For Sound Art Gallery in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles, located at 1638 Colorado Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90041.
