Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Veronica Lewis, has released new single Against The World,” a song that “explores a profound love and connection, where emotions transcend traditional boundaries.”

The blends synths, acoustic guitar, and keys, and is featured on her upcoming album, Too Late For Tears, which arrives on August 16, 2024 via Moonwink Records/Symphonic.

Lewis explains:

This is a love song about a person you can’t be with in the physical world… ‘I can feel you, you’re with me, you’re in the water, you’re in the trees’. It’s about connecting with someone you love – feeling them and their love surround you, even if you can’t be together. It’s about feeling their spirit even when you can’t be with them again.

Lewis adds that “The saddest love stories are often the ones that never had a chance”, and this song explores that theme.

The video, directed and edited by Lewis, using natural surroundings to “showcase the deep bond between humans and nature.”

Veronica Lewis wrote, produced and performed all of the instruments (except acoustic drums) on the upcoming record, about which she says:

This is me growing up and coming to terms with things we all struggle with… disillusionment, self-discovery,  the beauty and flaws you find in yourself, and the world around you.
