Swedish Metal band Wormwood are returning to release The Star, which concludes their trilogy about death, following Nattarvet and Arkivet. While Nattarvet was about the grim famine that plagued the people in the 19th-century Nordic region, Arkivet focused on the inevitable downfall of mankind. The Star follows and “tells the story of the end of the universe.”

The album is out now, and a lyric video for the track “Stjärnfall” has also been revealed.

The Star is the band’s “most accurate, personal, and melancholic work” to date. The album features all of Wormwood’s favorite combinations of “serene passages, furious chaos, and heart-wrenching melodies.”
