Glixen’s “lust” Is Crushingly Heavy

Phoenix, Arizona Shoegaze band Glixen have shared their new single “lust,” out now via AWAL. “lust” propells the group further into the realm of intensely heavy Shoegaze and takes on the fleeting, momentary intensity of attraction.

The band is also set to tour around the US until early summer alongside Interpol, DIIV, and SASAMI.

Bandleader Aislinn Ritchie shares:

“lust” is about the yearning and wanting of somebody and the rush that that person makes you feel. It is a feeling that is shallow, yet it feels intense and passionate but only for a moment. We wanted to take the direction of our sound to a heavier place. I wanted the weight of the sound to crush me.

The track is a peek at what listeners can expect from their Sonny DiPerri (My Bloody Valentine, DIIV) Produced sophomore EP, due out later this year.

Coming off of shows with Softcult, Glitterer, and King Woman, Glixen will be on the road this spring supporting Interpol and DIIV, roaming the American West.
