Elektric Animals will be releasing the EP A Bear And The Bull., out on April 19th, 2024 via Open Your Ears Records. This is the band’s debut EP on that label. A Bear And The Bull. was written in between their home studios in Denver and Produced by Eric Everhart.

The EP chronicles the band’s experience with “loss, love, regrets, life and everything in between” over these past few years of their lives. The duo hopes that the EP serves “as a reminder to listeners that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.” 

The story behind the name of the EP ties in with the overall themes of the EP. At the beginning of their journey, each band member chose an animal that they felt represented them. Nick chose the bear and Will chose the bull.

The were facing a time where, having gone through member changes in the band, they had reached a point where they weren’t sure if they would be able to keep making music as a duo.

Fortunately, they ultimately decided that they wouldn’t give up on the project that they had worked so hard for. They also learned that in the stock market, a bull market is on the rise and a bear market is in decline, which for them meant optimism vs. pessimism. They found this fit the theme of the album in a “limbo and balance of the two.”

Elektric Animals formed in 2018 and they have played hometown venues like The Mission Ballroom, playing The Gathering Music Conference, and sharing the stage with artists such as Third Eye Blind, The Band Camino, AJR, Weathers, Welshly Arms, COIN, The Happy Fits, Lovely The Band and many more.

Their music has also been featured in the series finale of Showtime’s Shameless, ABC’s The Good Doctor and MTV’s Teen Mom. They released their debut EP, Channels, in 2022.
