Germanic Melodic Death Metal band Hiraes will released their sophomore album Dormant via Napalm Records on January 26, 2024. The band features former members of Dawn of Disease and Critical Mess.

Hiraes have revealed a second single and music video for “We Owe No One.” The concept for the video comes from singer Britta Görtz and GUP Media is responsible for bringing it to life.

Catchy – groovy – thrilling! Today we present you our rebellious anthem and second single “We Owe No One”. Embedded in an intense sound and filled with anthemic melodies that will burn themselves into your brain, the song creates a gripping sense of unity that can be transferred to our entire metal community. The track goes straight to the front and in the video we have given free rein to our creativity together with the camera team. Put the song on continuous rotation, watch the video and don’t forget: We Owe No One!

For this album, Hiraes spent more time and energy in developing their songwriting and Production skills, leaning further into their unique sound. Due to the use of varying keys and sonic elements, Dormant brings new directions to their established work.

We invested a lot of energy, dedication and passion to create this monumental and melancholic piece of melodic death metal. Having played countless shows over the last two years, Dormant captures the energy of HIRAES‘ live performances and places the songs right between heart and gut.

Once again, none other than the talented staff of Fascination Street Studios are responsible for the refinement of our sound. Jens Bogren and Ricardo Borges did an excellent work on the record. We are so much looking forward to unleashing Dormant upon all those metalheads out there!
